Rhodes Archaeological Museum
Exhibits
The permanent collection of the Archaeological Museum of Rhodes is consisted of findings from the excavations during the Italian occupancy mostly, in Rhodes and the rest of the Dodecanese islands. Mycenaean jewelry, pottery and small objects from the tombs of Ialysias and Kamiros from the geometrical era up to the classical era [9-4 centuries bc], sculptures of classical and Hellenistic era and Hellenistic coins of Rhodes, are the main exhibits of the museum. The purpose of this museum is to show the most important findings of Rhodes in order to help the visitor understand the ancient history of the island
